permissions of “cd-rw/dvd drive” could not be determined 2

I’m having issues mounting my cd and dvd drives. Neither drive will read a disk but can I burn cd/dvds. Also usb connection to zen creative mp3 player & ipod are not reconised.

Below is my output from fstab & message when dvd is inserted into drive.

abit more information on fstab

[mntent]: line 11 in etc/fstab is bad
[mntent]: line 12 in etc/fstab is bad
mount: can’t find /media/cdrom0 in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab

I have create a post on ubuntu forums for help to correct this problem.

    Ah ! Did you find a solution for this? I have the same issue with one of my vfat partition. The drive mounts but could not read and write.

    I have not directly be able to correct the problem. But I’m rebuilding my PC very soon so I’m hoping a fresh install of 9.04 will correct the problems.
